Аннотация. В статье рассматриваются выработанные правовой доктриной признаки правового института и ряда отраслевых институтов (уголовного, уголовно-процессуального и уголовно-исполнительного права). На примере институтов уголовного и уголовно-процессуального права показывается специфика, особенности использования отдельных признаков правового института, их пригодность или непригодность для формирования анализируемого правового феномена.

Sectoral Studies of the Category of «Legal Institution» and its Relationship with the Theory of Institutions of Criminal Procedure
Abstract. The article examines the features of a legal institution and a number of sectoral institutions (institutions of criminal law, criminal procedure and penal law) developed by the legal doctrine. On the example of the institutions of criminal and criminal procedure law, specifics and peculiarities of the use of individual features of a legal institution, their suitability or unsuitability for the formation of the analyzed legal phenomenon are shown.
